Lucent Pools LLC Warranty Summary
This page summarizes the limited warranties in our Swimming Pool Construction Agreement. The full warranty terms are in your contract. Ask us for a copy before you sign. If this summary and your contract differ, your contract controls. You may also have rights under Texas law.
1. Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty
- What it covers: We warrant that your pool structure will remain structurally sound, meaning able to hold water. If it fails to hold water because of a structural defect, we will repair it so it holds water.
- How long: For as long as the original buyer owns the pool. That is what "lifetime" means here.
- Transfer: This warranty does not transfer to a later owner.
- Not covered: coping, tile, plumbing, plaster, filter, heater, electrical, pump, decking, and pool accessories; damage from earthquake, war, hurricane, tornado, flooding, or earth movement, including expansive or contractive soil and muck or leachy soil; damage from decks or walks not installed to our specifications.
- Keep it full: The structural warranty does not apply if the pool is not kept full of water. A drop of 2 feet or more below normal water level counts as drained.
- Soil conditions: If you know of adverse soil conditions, you must give us a stamped, signed engineer's report before excavation.
2. One-Year Materials and Workmanship Warranty
- We warrant our work to be free of defects in material and workmanship for one year from the day your pool is plastered, provided all contract terms and payments have been met.
3. Tile, Coping, and Veneer: One Year
- Six-inch by six-inch waterline tile, and coping or veneer, are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year, including labor and materials.
4. What is not warranted
- Plaster and interior finishes: not warranted against discoloration, staining, or cracking. Shade variation, mottling, fading, and crazing (hairline cracks) are normal characteristics, not defects.
- Decks and walks: no warranty for cracking, checking, raising, settling, or discoloration. Concrete naturally cracks, and that cracking will not be repaired.
- Natural materials: color, size, texture, and shape vary. No guarantee of look, shape, or color.
5. Making a warranty claim
- To file a warranty claim, call 817-339-6770 or email service@lucentpools.com. We'll respond by the end of the next business day (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays), so a claim received on a Friday gets a response the following Monday. Our response confirms we received your claim and explains the next steps; it isn't a decision on coverage. We must be given the opportunity to inspect and correct any covered defect before anyone else repairs it. We do not pay other contractors to correct problems.
- Texas law sets out a notice-and-inspection process for residential construction defects (Texas Property Code Chapter 27).
